welcome
Through donations to the International Summer School on Religion and Public Life you participate in supporting our vision of developing new resources for tolerance, reciprocity and shared well-being in a world increasingly defined by public differences and mutual distrust. Those who support the ISSRPL join in helping to create a network of individuals—business, civic and religious leaders; educators, professionals and concerned persons—who share a concern and interest in expanding our human capacities to meet the challenges of today’s world.

All gifts to the ISSRPL (a registered 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization) are tax-deductible and go directly to supporting ISSRPL programming, including scholarships for ISSRPL Fellows and seed-grants to ISSRPL-alumni projects that build upon the shared experience of living with difference.

ways to give
General Cash Gift—a general cash gift is the most common way of supporting the ISSRPL and advances our mission of crossing institutional and international barriers to create a broad network of individuals committed to developing, and implementing, opportunities of tolerance. Checks should be made payable to the ISSRPL and mailed, along with the gift form, to the ISSRPL Development Office, address below. Wire transfers can also be done; please contact the ISSRPL Development Office for more information. Matching gifts are also accepted.

Support an ISSRPL Fellow—some institutions and organizations prefer to give a gift that supports the participation of a fellow during the ISSRPL. This may be general support for a fellow or designated to a fellow from a particular region or country. This generally involves a multi-year commitment and enhances the diversity of fellows, especially from developing regions. All fellows must be accepted by the ISSRPL Admissions Committee, but the ISSRPL will work with the donor to find strong candidates. In the past this program has yielded extremely talented participants who go on to do important work in their home countries.

Support an ISSRPL Seed-Project—wanting to expand and enhance the work of the ISSRPL, we have begun giving small grants to ISSRPL alumni who have approved projects that implement the ISSRPL vision of finding ways to constructively live with difference. Some ISSRPL seed-project proposals can be seen at ISSRPL Seed-Projects [include link to Seed-Projects] and interested donors are encouraged to contact the ISSRPL Development Office for projects under consideration and in need of support.
